My name is Jasper. I am a 7 month old Brittany mix. We are guessing, but my daddy might be a herding dog. I have a fluffy coat and a long tail. I think my orange patches and freckles look like my momma! I’ve had a rough start to life. I was sold to a family, then returned to live life crated in an apartment. But now I’m an NBRAN boy and life is good!
I am currently in foster care with my two foster siblings. I love other dogs and tend to take queues and gain confidence from their presence and behavior. I would do best in a home with another dog. I am a bit shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly once I know I can trust you. Since I'm shy, I will do best in a home without small children. Older, dog-savvy teenagers that have time to play with me would be OK. I am crate trained and am almost housebroken (remember I'm still a baby). I know basic commands such as sit, stay and leave it. I am very energetic and love to play fetch with my tennis ball. When I’m not chasing my ball, playing tug-o-war and “chase me” with squeaky toys are two of my favorite games ever. I’m very good at squirrel round up too! Therefore, a 6ft fenced yard is a must. At the end of the day, I love to cuddle next to you on the couch while you watch TV.
Since I’m still a young and very headstrong puppy, I will need lots of exercise, structure (boundaries) and love. I will need a strong pack leader who will continue to teach and reinforce manners and commands that I’ve learned. I need a family that can teach me new and exciting things moving forward.
Jasper is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, neutered, and micro chipped. Jasper's adoption fee will be $350 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Transportation can be arranged up to 1200 miles at no additional cost.
If you are interested in adopting Jasper, please visit www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit.
