Annabel's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this pet at the Department of Animal Services, 5480 Gaines Street, San Diego 92110.

Annabel is a beautiful 6-year old girl who is mostly white but has an all black tail, black on her head and face, and a cute little black moustache mark on her mouth. She is a quiet and somewhat reserved girl, but warms up and is very sweet once she gets to know you after a few minutes. She loves being petted and especially getting her head and cheek rubs. Annabel is looking for a mature, calm indoor home where she can relax and be someone's best companion. She did have a best cat friend she met at the shelter, but she got adopted. So, Annabel will probably be fine with another calm, easygoing cat.

Be sure to watch Annabel's video.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annabel, a Vista Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Vista, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
