Facts about Commander

  • Breed: Boxer Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Welcome Commander. Commander is a 55 pound Boxer mix with a bobbed tail. He is about 2 years old and he does the full body U-shaped wiggle that you affectionately know as a Boxer quality. Boxers are the Peter Pan dog. This is an unusual color for a Boxer mix but he has many characteristics which lead us to believe he is one. He is good on the leash until he sees something interesting. He is playful and fun and would love a runner or outdoorsy family to tag along with. He is good with other dogs and all people we have seen him with, even strangers. He is looking for his forever home outside of Texas. We will be using a transporter to deliver him to his new forever home. He is currently in a rural facility that is not no kill with very little foot traffic so dogs even as good as he is will not be seen without the adoption sites. He can leave on the next transport to your area when he is adopted. Contact me for an application.

Act quickly to adopt Commander. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

About Lytle Animal Care & Control CO

About Our Shelter...

We are Lytle Animal Care & Control. We take in strays and rehabilitate if needed and vet them for adoption. We transfer some to rescues locally and the others we post and market for adoption. The City funds the staff of the shelter but not the medical fund. The medical fund for all our vetting is done through donations or adoption fees. Our adoption fee is 170 and transport is 165

Come Meet Our Pets...

Look at our pets and their videos online and talk to one of the friendly volunteers, foster moms or staff. We are here to help with videos and pictures. Once the dog/cat is preadopted we are ready to send your new pet to you on transport.

Our Adoption Process...

You will complete the application and once approved we will help you with all the details. You can speak to the foster mom or the shelter staff to see if the dog is what you are looking for and is what you have in mind. We can test the dog/cat with multiple settings to determine the fit for you. Thank you for looking at our pets.
