Luna’s guardians decided to move to where no pets were allowed and turned her in to a shelter in Utah. The other cat who arrived with Luna had been adopted from The Rescue House as a kitten and his microchip led the shelter to call us. A multi-state transport was arranged to bring both cats to San Diego. Luna’s companion soon found his new home while Luna needed to stay in foster care for a time after it was learned that she is hyperthyroid; a simple medication applied to her ear twice a day keeps her levels steady. Now Luna’s ready to find a new family who will truly care for her the rest of her life.

Luna is ready to be the LOVE of your life. She will seek you out for cuddles every evening while you’re watching TV—she gets real cozy upside-down with her back between your chest and arm, resting her head on your chest and looking up at you. Come bedtime, Luna’s coming, too, and will even burrow under the covers so that she can nestle against and on you. If she gets too close you can move her to a "real" cat bed (so long as it’s on top of your bed) and she will stay there. Your company is critical, however. Luna has a medium energy level and does enjoy her playtime though also does well being left alone if you work through the day. She has an unerring radar for finding the only sunbeam in the whole house.

Luna is comfortable around other cats; we don’t know her thoughts on dogs. Older kids are fine though younger or very boisterous ones are not to her taste.

Luna likes a bit of time to get used to her new people, yet once she does and you realize her scratchy voice is a plea for love... you will be under Luna’s power of love and you will have a best friend for life!

About THE RESCUE HOUSE

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Centers are located in retail pet stores whose philosophy agrees with The Rescue House's mission. A list of the adoption centers can be found here: http://www.rescuehouse.org/adoption-centers.html

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.
