Ike aka Yoda (his huge ears) is a cute 2 year old about 10 pounds beautiful black markings on a tan/fawn coat he has energy for playtime then loves to relax on the bed or your lap
Ike lived with a older man which suddenly died so the neighbor took over but she has since moved and per landlord cannot keep another so Ike is looking for a forever home that has breed experience and preferably another small dog
Ike lives with 4 other smaller chihuahuas of each gender without any issues
everyone gets along.
We are only looking to place him into an adult home as he has never lived with kids

A quiet home where someone has time and a warm lap to sit on more of a home body type as he has not gone many places but could possibly learn to become more social but not a on the go to town daily type of dog

Ike seems to had always been in the other dogs shadow he loves being loved he has a lot to give to the right person/couple as long as you are quiet calm patient folks
He would be best suited in a quiet neighborhood or even outskirts of town he only goes out to potty and stays inside rest of the time sop a fence is not needed as he can be walked on leash but he has not had much leashwork done but with a harness and over time in a quiet neighborhood possibly walking with another dog or more he will learn as he likes to please and appreciates things in life specially love and being seen
Ike is not a biter even though he can be skittish/shy at times in new environments and new people but he is willing to learn as he wants to belong
after his move to the neighbor he bonded with the 19 year old daughter the most spends his time in her bed
we would only recommend a adult home because he never has been around kids that we know off so would scare him but over time he will learn should you have kids visiting
Ike would make a great companion dog to a young retired couple or someone that is home mostly with dog experience and patience, down to earth folks that have few expectations and go with the flow
I met Ike myself he is a sweet dog and very handsome with lots of potential to still become a more confidant little dog with your love and security

for the week of NOV his adoption fee is only $50 than back to regular adoption fee and of course must be a matching home

pics of home, references, adoption fee, prefer fenced yard but can be flexible

About Save A Dog Today (Matchmaker&Adoption Center)

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501 non profit rescue

We educate dog owners of the IMPORTANCE to spay/neuter their pet(s). Find foster homes where rescue dogs can stay safe until adopted out. Help place owner surrender dogs.

Pull dogs out of kill shelters, rehabilitate, provide them with love, care and medical treatments, then find the perfect match for dog and human.

We don't just find a good home, but the best possible match for dog and human. We have a 99% of NO return dogs. Because we consider the dog and human lifestyles, and carefully select the right home as we want dog/human to be together happily ever after. Adopting a dog is a big decision/responsibility and should be carefully thought of by each family member.

No Formal Shelter, all our dogs are in foster homes

Our Adoption Process...

How our adoption process works:
First Step: E-mail us for a online application or see our website at

Second Step: Once we receive your application we will e-mail you back to let you know that we received it .
We will then review your application which can take about 2 days, once approved someone will contact you either by phone or e-mail.

Should you not get approved that does NOT mean you are not a suitable home, but that the dog you choose is not the best fit to your lifestyle or the dogs lifestyle.

We try to match dog and human as best as possible to not just have a happy ending but the dog will hopefully stay in that home "forever.
Third Step: To get approved your Vet references need to check out, meaning that you took prev. pets or current pets to the Vet for at least their Rabies shots, showing that you're a responsible pet owner.
Fourth Step: Once the Vet references check out we will set up a physical home check (or get pictures from you), someone will come to your home, check the fencing, place the dog will sleep, meet all family members, that is to assure us that the animal will be save and live happily ever after.
Fifth Step: Once the home check is approved, you can then come meet your "dream dog" and take him/her home with you, after signing adoption contract
paying the required adoption fee by either cash or check.
We always try to work as fast as possible as we know you are excited to get your new family member home. There will be times that we have family emergencies or are sick so the adoption process could be slowed a bit, we appreciate your patience!
