Sage's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sage's Story...
This flashy boy has been very loving and sweet with all of the staff at the shelter. He is a bit timid about things he does not understand but after safe investigation, he is ready to go. He lived with two female dogs in his foster home and respected their space when needed. Sage will do best with someone who understands the breed and wants to train and exercise him so he can be the best companion ever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Ridgway Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Ridgway, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Ridgway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgway paves the way for another one to be saved.
