Mr. Meowgi's Story...
Meet Mr.Meowgi! He is a handsome one-eyed 3 year old cat available for adoption. This poor boy fell several feet below into a window well and needed to be rescued by one of our officers after he was unable to climb out. Mr.Meowgi took some time to warm up to us but with lots of patience and food he's become a snuggly and loving cat. He does take a while to become completely affectionate to new people but once he does, Mr.Meowgi will be your faithful companion and will follow you wherever you go. He will need to be the only pet at home and would do better in a home with no kids. His adoption fee is $65 and includes all his vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FIV/Felv test, and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Meowgi, a Joliet Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
