Just a big lug of a dog. Lemon came to our shelter when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Lemon is just a great big squishy wannabe lap dog who lives for attention and loves to play. She has a sweet as can be personality that would make her the perfect fit for any kind of forever family and she can’t wait to meet them.

Our Goal
"To provide service to the people and the animals of Davis County, through the professional operation of the Davis County Animal Shelter and animal care and control programs. Services shall be rendered in an efficient, effective, and conscientious manner. These services shall include, but are not limited to; sheltering of unwanted, stray and abandoned pets, euthanasia of animals, adoption, redemption, lost and found services, providing of resource information, and public education as well as the taking and processing of all requests for service. These and other similar services shall be provided in a friendly, compassionate, and pro-active manner at all times."

We are open M-F 9AM-6PM and are located at 1422 E 600 N in Fruit Heights, UT. Please call for directions (801)-444-2200.
We encourage the whole family including any furry ones to come along when looking at one of our adoptable animals. Often on Saturdays we hold an adoption event at a local Petsmart or Petco. Please call on Friday to get the location and/or time for the weekend adoption event.

Our Adoption Process...

Current adoption prices are only $100 for a dog and $25 for a cat through the end of May.
All of our adoptable dogs and cats will be be spayed or neutered before they can be adopted out.
Dogs: adoption fee includes spay/neuter, first set of shots, microchip and county license (for davis county residents). Cats: adoption fee includes spay/neuter, first set of shots, microchip and county license (for davis county residents if applicable within your city).
Pocket Pets (including rabbits, hamsters, birds) $5.00. Livestock (goats, sheep, chicken, etc) varies by breed.
