Important Note

Tigger is best friends with Pooh. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Tigger and Pooh are a bonded pair of 6 month old male kittens. They are extremely sweet and love to cuddle. Tigger loves to explore and Pooh is usually right behind him trying to make a game out of every situation. Their favorite game by far is who can catch the red dot first. Because they are bonded, they will have to be adopted together. They are currently being fostered in a home with both cats and dogs and they get along really well with both.

Adoption fee: $100 - both kittens.

Tigger & Pooh are neutered, vaccinated (rabies & FVCRP), tested for FELV/ FIV with negative results, treated for parasites and microchipped.

Tigger & Pooh are being fostered in Owings Mills, MD.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption application process for cats may take up to seven days, but will often be less. The process could take three to four weeks from application submission to adoption due to schedules for the Home Visit, meeting dogs, etc. Application Forms are available under the ADOPT tab of our website. Please complete the application and click submit. You will receive a message that the application was submitted. While we process applications on a first come, first serve basis, we cannot guarantee how long the animal you are interested in will remain available. The process consists of your completion of an adoption application, our review of the application and contacting relevant references, verifying the application information, a home visit and then contacting you with a decision about approval. Once the application is approved, the adopter is contacted and arrangements are made to complete the adoption contract and take their new animal home. If you applied for a dog, after the application is approved and a home visit has been completed and approved, a time will be arranged for you to meet available dogs.

While we do welcome out-of-state applicants, we highly encourage you to look around at your local shelters to see what they may have to offer before contacting us. We do not “ship” our animals and you must be within a reasonable driving distance in which we can complete a home visit if you are applying for a dog.

We understand the desire to meet our animals as soon as possible but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit pet visitation to approved applicants only. Once your application is completed by you and approved by Saving Grace, we will be glad to schedule your visit.

When you meet the animal, the Saving Grace volunteer will make a determination if it is a match. If it is, you are welcome to adopt the animal at that time (for cats). If you are visiting a dog, the adoption day is arranged (unless otherwise discussed) as there is paperwork and medical records you will need from us. You are NEVER obligated to adopt the animal. If it is a match, it is then your decision whether to adopt.

We do not have a policy about ages of children, the determination is case-by-case. We love children and animals together. However, we DO expect that all children will be respectful, gentle and kind to the animals and be supervised by the adult in the family, closely supervised if the children are very young. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt one of our cats / kittens, 21 years of age to adopt our dogs / puppies.

Saving Grace reserves the right to refuse an adoption to anyone for any reason. Your patience is appreciated as we receive many applications each day and have many animals to care for.
If you are approved and adopt, you will be expected to let us know how your new family member settles in, how everything goes at the vet (you are required to take your newly adopted animal to the vet within 7 days of the adoption) and then to follow up once your kitten/puppy is spayed/neutered, if applicable. Of course, we hope that you will always maintain communication with us, as we are always available to help and/or hear the “tails” of your furry family members.
If for some reason you can no longer care for your animal, you are REQUIRED to contact us. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our animals. We expect to have the animals returned to us. If you need to re-home your animal and you know of someone who is interested, we ask you to still contact us so that we may be part of the process. You may never turn your animal over to a shelter, unless required to do so by law. If you do need to return the animal, please keep in mind that we are a foster home based rescue and our space is limited by the number of available foster homes at that time. We may not be able to take the animal back right away and ask that you give us 90 days notice that an animal needs to be returned. We usually have to wait for animals to get adopted to make room for a new animal or for a foster home to otherwise become available.

You will be required to read and sign the adoption contract, (as well as the Spay / Neuter Contract for puppies) before we will give the animal to you. If you have questions regarding its terms, please email Lauren.

FEES: Fees will generally be $150 per cat and $250 per dog. There is also a $75 refundable Spay / Neuter / Microchip fee for puppies. Once the Spay / Neuter surgery and microchip implantation has been done and proof of both is returned to us prior to the date on the contract, the $75 fee will be refunded to you within 45 days of receipt of the proof. While these are our general fees, each animal is unique and their fees may vary. See each pet’s individual pricing for the adoption fee.
