Meet Lizzie! Lizzie is an approximately 9 year old Bichon mix who was found as a stray in Philadelphia. Lizzie is super sweet and loves to be held and cuddled. She may be on the older side, but that doesn't keep her from being a spirited little gal who loves to encourage other pups to play with her. When not playing, you can find her curled up in a dog bed snoozing. She loves to eat and enjoys treats in her kong toy! She currently lives with toddlers, and is great with small kids as long as they're respectful of her small size!

We have been working on our potty training skills. She loves being outside and enjoys wandering the yard. Lizzie is up to date on shots, was recently spayed and received a dental. Her bloodwork was great and she is a healthy little gal who is hoping to spend her next few years with a family that loves her!

About Senior Dog Haven & Hospice, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, dedicated group of fosters and volunteers. We strive to improve the lives of senior dogs who find themselves without a family to care for them anymore. We do not have a facility. Our dogs live in our homes as members of our families. We provide care, comfort, companionship and, most of all, unconditional love. We have worked in senior rescue for years, and see the continuing and growing need to get them out of shelters where they are often euthanized because of their age and/or medical reasons, or from owners that find themselves in crisis and no longer able to care for their companions (nursing home, illness, abusive situations, etc).

Senior Dog Haven and Hospice is a registered 501(c)3. All donations to our rescue are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
