Copper Penny's Story...
Sweet, bright, bouncy, busy happy little girl who is about 5 or 6 months old. She loves to race around and play with the other foster kittens. She's fascinated by new toys and has excellent litter box manners. Penny's a good eater (not a messy eater like the boys!). She is shy with strangers and will dive under the bed if a strange cat hisses at her but she gets over it quickly. She will do well with other non-dominant cats. For more information about Copper Penny, please call her foster mom, Beth at 913.648.6713.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper Penny, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
