Meet Hope! Upon rescuing this sweet little girl who was dumped by a breeder and kept in a crate her whole life, it was deemed that we needed a little hope in this world; hence this gorgeous girl's name since despite coming from such a sad background, this girl is such a little love. Hope is a 3 year old, 12lb shih tzu/maltese who was abandoned by a backyard breeder who no longer wanted her. Besides a slight heart murmur that the vet deemed to be unproblematic, Hope is a healthy and happy girl. Because of the living conditions in her prior home, her hair is stained from filth but with some grooming and time she will be white as a cotton ball. Hope is a doll. She does fantastic with other dogs and cats. She occasionally gets scared and pees herself but since she has been rescued this has gotten much better and will most likely eventually dissipate once she has gained more confidence (she loves to wag her tail and look at her humans with adoration though). Hope is learning some house training and has been doing well so far using pee pads and the doggie door.

**Please note that our dogs may be located in foster homes around NJ and the NYC area. It would be a great help to us if you can pick up your dog from transport, which is centrally located from Northern NJ and NYC, or foster home.**

**PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR INQUIRY** We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them. Please do not submit an inquiry if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.

Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.

All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where it is kept for a minimum of 2 weeks for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. After the 2 week quarantine time they are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. They are then placed on the website. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested in it, we make arrangements with the waiting foster to pick the animal up from the airport to then meet with the potential adopter. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Our Adoption Process...

All of our animals are initially pulled from local shelters and the general public, placed in foster care, fully vetted (spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick/heartworm prevention and testing, deworming, microchip) and all pets come with a free 30 days pet insurance policy. If an adopter is interested in a specific pet, they can fill out an application and/or send an email to our main contact and one of our volunteers will get back with them shortly. Then once the application is processed we will set up a meeting for the adopter and the dog to see if they are each a good fit for each other. Our adoption fee is $475.
