Houston, Texas – Wrex and Simba are a bonded brother and sister pair of adorable purebred Miniature Schnauzer dogs. Both 6 years old, very healthy and spayed/neutered, this precious pair have been cherished by their owner since they were puppies.

Both dogs are very good with people of all ages and sizes, and are also good with dogs. They have never been around cats.

Their owner is a young woman going through a very difficult time in her life. As much as she loves the dogs, she realizes that with work schedule and living arrangements are not good for Wrex and Simba. These are dogs that love nothing better than to be with their human. They love to snuggle and sit on your lap. Being left alone is not their thing, and they tend to bark when this happens.

The ideal home for Wrex and Simba will be with retired seniors or other stay-at-home dog lovers with all the time in the world for them. They do not want to be left home every day on their own while their owner works. They would also like to have a securely fenced back yard to play in. Some nice grandchildren to play with would be the icing on the cake.

Both dogs are playful, sweet, affectionate and devoted. They will make wonderful companions for the right owners.

Their owner would very much love to keep in touch with Wrex and Simba. She would even be happy to dog sit for the new owners when needed.

Please offer Wrex and Simba a loving home today!

They are both very down to earth dogs. Have never bitten or tried to bite anyone. They are super cheerful, and they do LOVE attention. They will be up on your lap at all times if possible. Wrex, is definitely the more calm of the two, and he is also the leader. Simba is more hyperactive and loves to run around. They share a special bond since they are brothers and have never been apart. They make a prefect team. They share a lot of qualities, but the ones that one lacks the other has. They are also very talkative, and enjoy barking.

I am currently dealing with a lot of issues. I have asked my family if they can take care of them, but since my brother already has a pet of his own, and my parents travel constantly they would not be able to take care of them as they need to be. As for me, I work, am a full-time student, and am in several organizations at school. I am home so little, and I can’t afford a dog sitter. My friends all work and have hectic schedules like I do. These dogs are my world. Giving them up is like giving up my heart, but I need to do what’s best for them, and unfortunately that is not me anymore. I am also dealing with a very traumatic event, and while I go through this process of learning to love myself, I can’t take on myself as well as my babies. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but for them, for a chance of them getting a better life than what I can give them, I am willing to go through this pain.

About Houston Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters and rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
