Facts about Chase

  • Breed: Beagle
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Chase is a doll that loves everyone, and whose main goal in life is to play! He gets along great with people and other dogs. He steers clear of cats and seems a little afraid of them.
Beagles are sweet, loving, playful dogs that make wonderful pets, but in the south, those qualities aren't valued. Instead, most beagle owners are only concerned with whether or not they will hunt.
Well I'm guessing Chase wouldn't hunt, because I found him surrendered to our local high kill shelter.

.
Being a Beagle that likes to roam, Chase will require a fenced yard. He behaves well in the house, and sleeps in a crate every night. Also remember Chase is a hound and with hounds come very big mouths. He does not bark a lot, but will let you know when he is hungry, ready to get out of his crate in the morning, or sees something different.
Chase is neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and ready to go to his new family!

About Southern Girls Pound Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Southern Girls Pound Rescue is now a 501(c)(3) non- profit. We are Emily Morris and Amy Pitts, two ladies who rescue the dogs we can from our local high kill shelter, get them vet checked, healthy, and adopted to loving, safe homes. Beautiful, friendly, adoptable dogs and puppies are killed every week, and we try to save what we can hoping to make a small difference.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are fostered in our own homes or the homes of close personal friends. Visits with our dogs can be scheduled by appointment. Due to our work schedules, most visits will be evenings or weekends. We encourage in home visits if needed before a final decision before we adopt out our dogs. We want the most appropriate home for our dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Our Adoption fee is $150.00, subject to change according to vet expenses. We require an adoption application and contract. A vet reference is required for every adoption. There is no fee to complete an application. Adoption fees are non-refundable.
