Bella's Story...
This pretty love-bug is Bella, a medium sized Terrier mix ready for a new leash on life! She and her housemate, Max, came to the shelter when their previous owner was having to move for work, and couldn't take them with him. We would like to see them be adopted together, as they have grown up with each other and are great friends. Bella can be a little more shy at first, but only take a second to warm up and wants to be petted. Bella doesn't know she isn't a lap dog, and loves to snuggle with you, especially on the couch! She enjoys playing fetch, tug-of-war, chasing the water from a hose, and swimming! She enjoys playtime, which is great because she does need to lose a bit of weight! She has been trained in her basic commands, and is also house-trained and kennel-trained. She is great with kids of all ages as well! She will bark and chase other animals if they are not part of her family, but has been fine with other cats and dogs in her home in the past. Bella has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Benbrook Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
