Seattle, Washington – Rex is about the cutest little white lap dog you will ever meet. This 7 year old Maltipoo (Maltese/Toy Poodle Mix) is such a cuddle muffin! He is an 11 pound bundle of love, who gives much more than he gets. Rex is so smart and compassionate – the ultimate therapy dog! He almost seems human in his ability to communicate, listen and show empathy. (He could show people a thing or two about being a great friend!)

Rex has been neutered, and is up to date on his shots. Rex is pretty healthy, but has a condition where he gets occasional pain in his spine. This is not life-threatening, but has caused him to become very anxious around children, particularly when they are near his tail. He has nipped the small children in his family as a result. Rex occasionally needs pain medication. Rex is also feeling overwhelmed by all the activity in the home. This has resulted n a lot of barking behavior. He needs a much quieter home so that he does not feel the need to be on alert at all times.

Rex’s owners love him so much. They have had him since he was a puppy. Unfortunately having 3 small children and a very busy household is not an ideal situation for Rex. He is always on edge, and his family are also on edge as a result. They want the very best for him, and realize that finding him a more suitable home will be better for everyone.

Rex’s ideal home will be with a single or couple who stay at home. A retired person with a warm lap for Rex to snuggle up on would be perfect for him. He likes to go outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be nice. He really needs a quiet, loving home where there are not too many surprises in order to feel happy, safe and confident.

Rex has some challenges with potty training. An attentive owner with patience and persistence should be able to help him re-learn proper house training. He’s such a loving companion that it’s well worth the effort. He gives much more than he gets.

If you are a compassionate, patient retired dog lover in need of a charming, sweet, and amazingly cute companion, please offer Rex the home he needs and deserves today.

About Seattle Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
