This handsome fellow is 'West' he is a 2 year old neutered male Great dane who was owner surrendered along with his Daughter Wendy when the family found themselves ill equipped to handle two giant breed dogs. He is fully grown, weighing in just over 100# and is a fun loving guy who is super intelligent and sweet. He knows his sit command and is house and kennel trained. He gets along great with other large and XL dogs and would do best with no small fuzzy dogs or cats. He does enjoy the company of gentle children.
West's adoption fee is $450 and goes to cover the vetting he has received. He is neutered, gastropexied, fully vaccinated and microchipped. West has tested positive for heart worms. We don't worry to much in this day and age of modern medicine. Our veterinarian has seen west and determined him to be an excellent candidate for the slow kill method of heart worm prevention which we have already started him on. We will also provide the rest of his doxycycline and 6 months of advantage multi with his adoption, as well as a repeat heart worm test at the end of the treatment cycle.
If you are interested in adding West to your family please go to www.texasgreatdane.org and fill out the application located there.
