Rusty the Man's Story...
***URGENT! SHELTER DOG!***Hi! My name is Rusty and I am 2 1/2 year old Lab mix (that is what the shelter calls me). I came into the shelter a while back as a stray and I have been waiting for a new home for SO long.
A little about me:
I am a young guy and therefore very playful and active. I had a kennelmate for about a month and we played and played and had so much fun. He got adopted - (I am happy for him and not jealous at all) so I have been on my own for about a month. I am a goofy and happy boy who is always wagging his tail. Meeting new people is SUPER fun, and I look foward to each new day and the people I will meet. I just KNOW one of them will be my new home. Also, a couple a weeks ago I got to go on a mobile adoption and I did so well. It was super fun to be out of the shelter, but I did not get adopted. :(

Anyway, even though I am active and playful, I am also so loving and affectionate. I am very generous with my kisses and I give them to everyone! I can also be pretty gentle. After a long day of playing and having fun, I would like to cuddle and get hugs.

So, PLEASE PLEASE come adopt me. I am a good boy. I am such a lover.
Love, Rusty

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty the Man, a Los Angeles Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
