Meet Abby! Abby is a sweet, young, 1 year old, 30 lb, Beagle mixed with Rottweiler or maybe Shepherd. She is very smart and knows how to sit, stay and is learning how to walk nicely on a leash without pulling. She has a lot of energy, and is learning to not be reactive to new dogs she meets on leash. She gets along great with her foster siblings, but it does take a few days of adjustment for Abby to settle into a new pack and feel safe with her new humans. She LOVES her foster family, especially her foster daddy, but that did take a few days of warming up. She is probably not a dog park dog since she takes a little time to warm up to other dogs. Though she does get along great with her two beagle foster siblings. It is recommended that Abby go home with experienced dog owners and will need continued work to improve her manners with other dogs. Abby would do best in a home with yard versus an apartment setting since she can be reactive on leash.
Abby is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250. Abby will be required to be adopted locally and a home visit prior to completing adoption.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
