Kiesa is a very sweet, but very BIG girl.
She takes time to warm up to new people and environments, but once she trusts you, she will be your best friend forever!
Kiesa is house and crate trained, does well in the car, and is good with children (currently lives with toddlers).
Kiesa loves to play and run in the yard. Due to her size a yard is definitely a requirement for her new home.
Kiesa is more shy and reserved and prefers to meet new people in her own time (with treats, about 30 minutes). She is good with other dogs as well with proper introductions. Kiesa currently resides with two other dogs, one a larger breed and one small breed. She has never been around cats.
We are currently working with a trainer to help Kiesa overcome some of her fears. Because of this, Kiesa is eligible for our foster to adopt program.
If you are interested in me, please fill out an adoption application at www.ruffstartrescue.org. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal. Once we receive your application, a placement coordinator will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals!
All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).
Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
