Tilly's Story...
Hi, I'm Tilly and you'd be correct in noting that I've only got one eye. But don't think for a moment that it slows me down. In fact, when I was first brought in from the farm where I was found, the vet called me a one-eyed wonder! I love to play, chase the laser pointer, jump after feather wands...you name it, if it's a game, I want in! I'd love to go home with another kitten - perhaps my foster sister Charlotte -- to have a cat my own age to play with. If your family includes another young, playful cat, I’m definitely game! I pretty much love everyone, including dogs and children. Think we might be made for each other? Why not make an appointment to meet me in my foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tilly, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
