Vetting Incomplete

Hi y'all!!  Ava Crowder here, just checking in.  Recently I found myself lost and hungry.  Some really nice people at a local shelter took me.  They waited for my people to find me, but they never did.  So the shelter called Dachshund Rescue of Houston to see if they could help.  DRoH said yes! So here I am, settled in nicely with my wonderful foster family.  They have 3 other dachshunds that are so sweet and we all get along very nicely.  I am enjoying all the love I am getting along with the yummy food and soft place to sleep.  I have learned to use the doggy door, am pretty good on leash and am learning the proper place to go potty.  I LOVE my foster family, but am looking forward to finding a home of my very own.  I am a gentle and loving girl.  And I hear people say I am gorgeous.  THAT makes me blush...   Once my vetting is complete I will be looking for the home that will help me bloom into the Dachshund Diva that I know I can become!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

About Dachshund Rescue of Houston

About Our Rescue Group...

We have one sole purpose and that is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need of a second chance at life and love. We rescue purebred (and a few mixed) dachshunds from pounds and shelters. Some have had a wonderful life but were dumped by their only family at a shelter for no reason at all, while others have been abused, abandoned, neglected and starved of food and human affection their entire life. We believe there is a home somewhere for every dog rescued; some just take a little longer to find.
