Sequoia's Story...
About Sequoia
This laidback moose is the biggest of his litter. He came to us when his mom picked a garage that belonged to one of our foster families to have her babies. All have been very healthy & sweet kittens. Sequoia is playful & curious, but is not as active or adventurous as his littermates. He has soft long hair & such a handsome face. He has had contact with other cats & cat friendly dogs. He likely would be fine with children. He was born in mid-August, 2016. Sequoia has been dewormed & vaccinated appropriate to his age & tested for Feline Leukemia & FIV; he will be neutered & microchipped when he is a little older. He is sure to grow up to be a very handsome boy. To meet Sequoia, call 540/586-6100 or go to bhsva.org to get an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sequoia, a Bedford Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
