Facts about Tank

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Tank is a middle aged Labrador mix, weighing around 50lbs, who is about as sweet and gentle as they come. He doesn't chew or destroy and seems content to crate during the day while we are at work. He's happy-go-lucky when he's done good and gets told so he wags his whole body in joy of pleasing humans.

He doesn't have much for obedience skills, but is otherwise just a mellow sweet fella. What I love about him most is walking on leash - - if I stop - he stops; which is especially nice on stairs coming and going.

He does like a tennis ball and will play on occasion but isn't a ball freak and doesn't need a major play regiment. He's truly what I call a companion dog, just ready to hang out near or around but is especially good about not being under foot - - he keeps his space but keeps a pretty close eye on me.

He will bark out on occasion when something is new to him or when I put him in his crate and forget to give him a treat. He's got priorities in his routine.

He's fine to be around other dogs but it takes him a few days to find his comfort zone with new dogs. He doesn't seem to care about a cat, but supervision with any new cat is suggested because cats react differently to every dog.

If you're looking for lower energy dog just to be your couch buddy or sleepy time friend, he's an easy pick!

Tank is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and ready for his own forever home. He's had a rough life before but he's really getting used to the easy life. He would love to meet you if you're willing to kick back, relax and enjoy with him.
