Baby's Story...
Meet Baby! Baby is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about her personality. This brindle girl is around 8-months-old and was recently transferred from another shelter. She has the cutest ears that stand up when she's listening intently! We are not yet sure how he is with other dogs, cats, or kids. As we get to know her, we will let you know Baby is temporarily unavailable, but is still able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information or inquires about meeting Baby, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Wilmington Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Cattle Dog for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
