From the Foster:

Lilly has been so fun to have around.  She is very smart, loves treats, and is a super easy going dog..  Lilly currently lives with her foster parents in a condo and has been adjusting well to her foster home.  She is so well behaved and knows so many commands.  We are still learning all of the commands that she knows, but here are a few: sit, down, stay, come, shake, high five, kennel, leave it, and finally can be re-directed if needed fairly easily.   And she knows her name really well!

Lilly is very well behaved around the house.  She likes to look out the window and also sit on the couch.  She is house trained and has not had any accidents.  We keep her on a schedule so she has not yet had to tell us that she has to go outside to go potty.  She is also crate trained and seems to really enjoy her crate.  At night she instantly goes in the crate when its time for bed and we don't hear a peep from her until we let her out in the morning.  Currently, her crate is next to our bed.  Lilly is usually home alone for about 7-8 hours each day and does just fine.  Our neighbors confirmed they don't hear her making any noise during the day.   She goes right into her crate when its time for us to go to work and is excited that she gets a yummy Kong with peanut butter and treats.

Lilly currently gets about 2 walks a day.  When we first got her she pulled on her leash a lot, but we have started to use a gentle leader and this has helped make significant improvements.  She doesn't love the gentle leader, but does tolerate it and is learning how to walk nicer.  With continued work and training, I am positive her leash walking skills will get better.  Another great thing about Lilly is that she LOVES playing fetch.  We have a fenced in dog area by our condo and we play fetch there once a day.  She waits patiently for you to throw the ball and loves to catch the ball in the air. She will bring the tennis ball back nicely each time and drop it at your feet.  I think this is one of her favorite parts of the day and is great for wearing off her energy after being home by herself.  Finally, we think Lilly would make a great running buddy.  We have gone on short runs with her and she does great

Lilly does not currently live with other dogs or kids, but is friendly to dogs that we meet on walks.  She has been around other dogs and kids in the past and done well with both. She is interested in cats when they are near and she might chase them, but doesn't want to hurt them.  She has been friendly to everyone we meet on walks and her tail doesn't stop wagging.   I cannot say enough great things about Lilly, especially how well she is trained and how many commands she knows.  She is such an easy going dog and over time, I think her personality will continue to come out. Anyone is lucky to have Lilly as part of their family.

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
