Iris is a survivor. Found as a tiny kitten, she and her siblings were all very sick. Iris and her brother had ruptured eyes from the infection and needed urgent surgery when only 6 weeks old. Iris never let anything slow her down and has been a happy and playful kitten even before surgery! Now 4 months old with all her shots complete and healthy, she is ready for a family. Cats, dogs, kids would be fine in her new home. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Iris, please fill out an online application.

About Planned Pethood, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We invite you to read About Us and what makes Planned Pethood difference from many other rescues. YOu can do so here:

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have several adoption events a week at various locations. Check out our calendar for details here: .

Our Adoption Process...

After you decide on the pet you're interested in, our adoption process begins. Please submit an application.

It will be reviewed by one of our volunteers. If certain and critical criteria is met, we will pass your application on to the foster. The foster will then contact you and make arrangements for your family to meet the dog, most likely at one of our many Adoption Events.

A home visit is also required for all of our adoptions. If you are local to the Toledo area, it will be performed by one of our volunteers. If you are long-distance, then we will need to make arrangements with a rescue group in your area. The processing of your application can take several days, so we ask for your patience.

Adoption fees depend on the specific animal.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue pet!
