Doberman Pinscher/American Pit Bull Terrier mix, 2-mths old, Grey/Brown Female

My name is Pebbles and I'm now a 5-month old Doberman Pinscher/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. I've been returned to the shelter because I was too energetic for my owner to properly take care of me. My 7 siblings and I were born at the home of one of the shelter employees.  Our mother is very kind and gentle. She love kids and other dogs. Our dad is the same--very gentle and friendly. I'm looking for a family to adopt who will also be very kind and gentle with me. That way I will grow up to be the same. I get along with everyone and am very curious about my surroundings and love to be loved by humans. We could take some training classes so I can learn to be a very good girl for you. Come and meet me, fall in love, fill out that application so I can adopt you, and let's begin the rest of our lives together!!!

About Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
