Ernest's Story...
This pup has the chance to travel to Wisconsin on December 10th!

Ernest here. This little fella is looking for his forever home. He is 8 weeks old and weighs about 4 lbs....he could fit into any home! He is from a litter of 5, daddy appears to be a schnauzer mix and momma may be a chi mix. Full grown, Ernest won't be very big, more than likely less than 20 lbs. Ernest won't be quite 3 months when he arrives in Wisconsin so he will need to be neutered when he turns 6 months. Also, since he is just a little tyke, he will need a patient family to help him learn puppy etiquette, as well as house training. Are you this special family?

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernest, a Fort Atkinson Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
