Meet Brandy! Brandy is a sweet, loving 4 year old female Great Pyrenees mix. She came into rescue in early 2015 with a litter of puppies who have all found their forever homes. She was heart worm positive, emaciated, and missing hair on over half her body due to flea allergies and poor nutrition. She was successfully treated for all her ailments, received a clean bill of health, and was placed into a home in the fall of 2015. Unfortunately, her home situation has changed, and she is now in need of a new home.
Brandy is a very sweet and loving girl, who bonds deeply with her person. As a matter of fact, she bonds so deeply that she doesn't want any other dog around her person. She needs to be the only dog in the home, or in a home with someone who understands and knows how to manage a people possessive dog. Ideally, while she responds well to correction and will settle and not cause problems, she would probably be happiest in an only dog home where she doesn't have to share.
Brandy is fine with older children (over 12), and is very tolerant of cats. Before her adoption, she was fostered in a home with 4 cats, and was pretty much indifferent. There were also 2 large dogs in her foster home, and the only time there were issues was during feeding time. Once fed separately, there were no more problems. She is very obedient, lives to please you, and knows and responds well to all her basic obedience commands, which is impressive for a Great Pyr :) Both treats and praise are high value rewards to her. She loves to go for walks, and is a dream on leash. She's also always up for a car ride! She is a happy, well adjusted girl.
The third picture in this listing is the most recent picture we have of Brandy, The other two were taken over the summer.
Brandy is spayed, utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. She has also been microchipped. She must go to a home where she will live inside as an important member of the family.
