Turkey was rescued from a local kill shelter where he was doing his second "tour" of duty in the shelter cage. His first tour was when a man brought him and another cat, possibly his sister, in and told the shelter he had lots of cats dumped on his land and would be bringing more in later (which he still hasn't done). Turkey was sprung the very next day when a man adopted him. However, just a few weeks later he was returned. Sadly, his new adopter had a recent cancer diagnosis and was concerned about his ability to care for Turkey so he found himself back at the shelter for his second time. A FFAR volunteer was at the shelter and fell in love with his sweet personality, enhanced even more by his silky soft fur and Van markings. Turkey is a young cat, only about nine months old so he is technically still a kitten and will fill out and grow more. He is a total love and gets along with kids, cats and dogs. If your forever home could use some year-round Turkey (not just at Thanksgiving), fill out an application and adopt him today!
