Oliver's Story...
Meet our Egyptian prince.....Oliver!

Oliver was rescued from the streets of Cairo, Egypt. When his saviors first found him, he was barely alive. It was found that he had distemper - which he survived - but does have a small head tremor as a result of being sick. It isn't obvious and only really shows when he is scared or nervous. He was flown over to the US and was placed into foster care. He has been FANTASTIC considering that every single sight, sound, smell, and taste in his world was drastically changed. He is just so happy to be living in a home, with a comfy bed, toys to play with, and never going hungry again. All firsts for him! He is a GORGEOUS Egyptian collie - with the most adorable ears! (they are huge!!!)

Oliver is almost a year old, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. Adoption fee $400.

Application can be found on our website www.RDRanimalrescue.org!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Franklinville Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Franklinville, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Franklinville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklinville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklinville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklinville paves the way for another one to be saved.
