Ginger is a Golden retriever mix who was found as a stray in Texas laying in the middle of a road… disoriented, skinny, with a bad ear infection and heartworms. She is around 8 or 9 years old and weighs about 58 lbs. She loves dogs of all sizes and gets along great with everyone. We are not sure how she does with cats.  She loves to go for car rides and she walks great on a leash. Ginger doesn't need to be kenneled. So if you want someone to keep you company on these cold winter day's Ginger is the girl for you! Ginger is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her shots and has been through heartworm treatment. Her adoption fee is $250.00. If you would like to find out more Ginger, please contact Project Hope at

About Project Hope Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We focus primarily on rescuing senior and special needs dogs in kill facilities. We are located on 30 acres of land in rural southern Michigan. We are a care-for-life facility, so any dog that does not or that we deem cannot be adopted will live with us for the rest of his/her life. Because we rescue the dogs that are not in high demand, it normally takes our dogs longer to find that perfect family. We believe that it takes a special family to adopt our special dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

We require that the interested adopter come to meet the dog and then fill out an adoption application. We will review the application and then pass on to the dog's foster family (if applicable). We then contact the potential adopter's vet and we will also do a home visit. If all goes well, the adopter signs our adoption contract stating that, among other things, the dog will receive regular vet care and must be returned to us if things do not work out.
