Abey is a little brown and black chiweenie who was rescued from a very sad and neglectful situation when she was about 10 mos old.  She is now about 2 yrs old and fully recovered and doing great.  She is a little timid due I believe to her sad beginnings, but she is a poster dog for the term lap dog as she absolutely loves to calmly lay beside you in a chair or couch just wanting to be near you  . She has no temperament issues and has been raised around lots of other animals including cats. She is fantastic with children. No snapping or growling whatsoever. She's a very submissive little dog.

The Junior Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer, animal rescue group. For over 25 years, we have taken in owner released pets so they won't be taken to the pound/animal shelter. All animals waiting for adoption are placed in foster homes. Before placing the animal in a permanent home we provide all necessary vet care, including but not limited to shots, spaying and neutering.
