FeLV (Leukemia) positive kittens

WE WERE SHOCKED to find out our beautiful kittens are positive for Leukemia.  At first we thought they were horribly UNLUCKY to have been given the Leukemia virus via their mother.  But on second thought most groups would have had them euthanized (put to sleep).  So maybe in the end they are the LUCKIEST of the group because we love them, value them and want to help them find their Forever places.

These 4 adorable furbabies have a great chance at wonderful, loving and giving, fun-filled lives because they ARE ALIVE. Yes, before you adopt you need to know that these 4 adorable sisters MIGHT not live as long as other cats and because Leukemia is contagious to other cats they cannot have Leukemia-negative buddies.  But once you get over that hurdle what you have are playful kittens being kittens and maturing into loving cats for as long as Nature has intended.  Do we know - do any of us know - how long that is?  With good food, an indoor life with normal medical care and a person to snuggle, these kittens will be just fine.  And they will THRIVE.  It should be noted that this virus is not contagious to dogs or to humans. Take a look at their bios below:

Zoey is a young gray striped female whose favorite sleeping spot is a human lap or shoulder. She constantly seeks out humans to bond and play with.  Her playtime is fast and furious as is her nap time.  She is looking for a human who has time to spend time with her to play and allow her to sleep with or near them.

Dayna is a young light gray female kitten who loves to tumble with her sisters.  She is an avid climber and loves her cat tree. She is curious and loving and seeking a forever home to call her own.

Mitzi is a young playful female with markings of white, yellow and gray. She enjoys tumbling, playing and sleeping with her sisters.  She is searching for her forever home with a human she can snuggle and love.

Dakota is a curious young female that loves batting the closest human’s nose. She plays hard and sleeps hard and is curious about all that is new in the house. She has unique markings which make her look grumpy, but in fact she is loving and would love to join your household as your furry friend.

For more information on meeting and adopting these sweet kittens, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.

The adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines, vet exam and free 30-day insurance offer.  CCR will also pay for a second blood test when the kittens are 5-6 months old as it is possible for them to convert to negative status.

Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.

About Cat's Cradle Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Weekly adoption events are held at Petco – Beaverton on every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. Feel free to drop by and talk to our adoption counselors.

Event Location: 4037 SW 117th Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005

Our Adoption Process...

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. To help our potential adopters learn more about the cat(s), we encourage them to first contact and discuss with the foster family if it might be a good fit. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation. We also have onsite Adoption Events on a weekly basis. Our adoption counselors are present to handle the interview and adoption process.

Our adoption fee for single kitten is $120 and $200 for a pair. Adult cat adoption fee is $60.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.
