I am Felix and I am a 2-year old grey and white cat. I have been returned to the shelter and am now ready for adoption again. I would really like to meet that special someone who can give me a home for the rest of furrever--someone like you!! I like to play and nap and snuggle into soft blankets or warm laps. Treats are a nice touch, so if you have some, I think we can work out an arrangement. You come and meet me, you fall in love and take me home. I am ready to go!!

You may take me home for a donation to the shelter. Just bring in something from our wish list, and I'm yours!

About Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
