Hello. My name is Flo and I am 10 year old spayed female pit bull mix! I am the sweetest thing you''ll ever meet! Due to my age and my rough beginning to life, I am a little rickety in the back end. This means I don''t need a lot of exercise! Are you looking for a pooch companion but aren''t into getting the dog out for long hikes several times a week? I am your girl! I love to be outside and really enjoy nice, easy walks. I get along with other dogs, but cats intrigue me. I would definitely chase a cat if given the chance. Don''t let my wobbly legs fool you! I will be after that cat in no time! Please show me what''s like to be in a loving family. I will love you for the rest of my life!

About Summit County Animal Control and Shelter

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are located near the County Commons, off of SCR 1004, between The Senior/Community Center and State Patrol. The Shelter is open M-S 9:00 AM-5:00 PM with animal visitation hours of 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Our Adoption Process...

We are not a same day adoption shelter.
To be considered as an adopter, you must:
1. Either own or be renting a permanent residence.
2. Be at least 18 years of age (or have parental permission in the adoption if under 18)
3. Have a current ID or Driver's License showing curent age and address
4. Be willing and able to provide adequate training, necessary medical care, and loving attention to an adopted pet
5. Pay adoption fees of $110 for dogs, $125 for puppies, $90 for cats and $105 for kittens. These fees include microchip and initial registration, spay or neuter surgery, license fee for first year, rabies and distemper vaccination when applicable and veterinary exam at local participating veterinary clinics. These fees also help partially cover the cost of the animal's care and feeding during the animal's stay at the shelter.
