My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota was rescued from what we refer to as an external hoarding situation. Sometimes, people will intentionally accumulate feral cats for breeding purposes, thinking they are creating a rodent fighting army. We always try to educate these folks that 4-6 neutered/vaccinated cats is more than sufficient for total rodent eradication on a substantial property, but reason doesn't always work. That is when we have to get stealthy and trap the kittens for socializing anyway and TNR the adults as needed. Jada was a kitten who would have grown up and become a baby factory for a not-so-nice human. And now, she is a sweet kitten who has a shot at a warm, loving home inside, maybe with you! Dakota LOVES to play and is learning to like being pet. She is a little shy, but we fully expect her to be a snuggle bug one day. She loves sunshine naps and the cat tree.

We ask for a minimum adoption fee of $100, which will include her spay, rabies vaccine, 1st FRCVP shot, worming, and flea preventative, food, litter, and other medical treatment while in our care. She can be micro-chipped for an additional $30 if she has not been vetted at the time of her adoption. This amount is BELOW our actual cost to do all of these things and we make no money on adoptions. She will be vetted once we have a contracted adopter and can go home then or 5 days after her surgery f you would prefer we recover her after surgery, pending Foster approval and possible home inspection.
