Ronnie is what we are calling this 3-year-old Lab mix who came to Labs and More with some wounds that needed tending. Now that she has gotten the care she needed, she has come out of her shell and is feeling good. Ronnie had to have a few rotten teeth removed, but that does not stop this girl from loving her food. She eats a mixture of canned and dry food just fine, and she loves her soft treats. Ronnie is very treat motivated, which makes her eager to learn and fun to train. Her foster mom has worked with her on basic commands like sit, down, stay, and she is currently working on her recall. Ronnie would love a forever family that will continue to reinforce these good behaviors. We think Ronnie may have lived the majority of her life outdoors because she was initially nervous living inside. But once she became comfortable with the new sounds and realized this soft bed she had was all hers, she is loving it! Ronnie is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. She is also crate trained, but she does not need to be crated when left home alone. Her foster mom lets her have the house to herself, and she does not get into any mischief when she is gone. Ronnie loves going on walks and she walks pretty well on a leash. She does get easily distracted by other dogs, noises, and other people during her walks, so she is working on 'focus' and checking in with her foster mom. Ronnie does get very excited when meeting new dogs and is working on learning how to greet them properly. Ronnie is currently fostered as an only dog, but she could do fine in a home with a very tolerable dog as she learns her manners or would be fine as an only dog. Ronnie absolutely loves to cuddle with her people, and she will make a great companion. No kitties for this girl, she is far too interested in them to live with them. Interested in meeting this sweetheart? Filling out an adoption application on our website would be your first step.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping.
