Bella is a beautiful, playful, strong and very loyal, one-year-old, 59-pound, female brindle and white Pit Bull/Greyhound-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Bella is full of smiles and tail wags for the people she loves. She is also excellent with other dogs. Her foster mom has a 25-pound Pomeranian-mix that she’s been living with, and Bella loves to play and swim at the Montrose dog beach.

Bella was found as an emaciated stray on the south side of Chicago on September 20th. She had just had a litter and her rescuer spent two hours and two packages of hot dogs to gain her trust. Luckily, she will do anything for a treat, so she has been easy to train.

She is thought to be part Greyhound because she is tall and she runs like the wind! She is energetic, strong and extremely athletic; she’d do wonderfully with a runner or someone who likes to bike with their dog. She loves to play ball, go for car rides and she sleeps either on the floor next to her foster mom’s bed, or in bed with her.

Bella is extremely healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Famous Fido.
