Lizzy's Story...
Lizzy is a petite, very sweet, quiet cat that was rescued with her 2 kittens from a farm in Melville, NY. She is long haired and very beautiful. Lizzy hid on a shelf in a cubby hole for a few weeks and I feared that she would be too shy to be adoptable, BUT SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENED....One day I reached in to pet her and she moved her head towards my hand and she let me pet her head!

After that she became a total cuddle bug and now SHE LOVES TO BE PETTED. She is the perfect companion. Please come see Lizzy in her foster home . She's waiting for you to give her the loving home she deserves.
PLEASE ADOPT LIZZY

She is currently in foster in North Babylon NY

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzy, a Islip Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Islip, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Islip.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Islip already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Islip breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Islip paves the way for another one to be saved.
