Fiesty Ginger is looking for a new home! Her former family was moving country and little Ginger couldn't go too. Ginger needs to be the only animal in the home as she doesn't do well with other cats or dogs. Ginger really loves to get pet - but only on her terms. She is quiet for a Bengal mix, but can be very hissy when it comes to getting attention. She can be pretty shy, and likes to have various places around the home for her to seek comfort in. Ginger will need to be in an indoor, adult only home - breed experience is a must! Once comfortable Ginger enjoys playing with wand toys, and can be quite active at night.

About BC SPCA - West Vancouver Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/WestVancouver for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
