Helena's Story...
Hi! My name is Helena and I am a shy but very affectionate little girl who loves to cuddle, explore and nap in the sunshine. My sister Choteau and I are about 3 months old and very devoted to each other. In addition to loving my sister Choteau, I love to play, chase that little red dot around the room, purr and snuggle. It would be ideal if Helena and I could be adopted together, but we understand that life isn’t perfect. However, it would be terrific if you could meet us and give us the opportunity to share your life and love. We are healthy, happy and ready to jump right into your arms! Please email humaneurbangroup@aol.com if you are looking for unconditional love and have room in your heart and home for a kitty or two. Please include your name, address and telephone number.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Helena, a Great Neck Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
