My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"PIPPIN" is a charismatic, happy, silly, puppy like Toy Poodle boy! He just loves attention, will happily play with the toys, comes quickly when called, eats all his food and greatly enjoys people as well as ALL our Poodle who also enjoy being with him.

Pippin is also a very easy going Toy Poodle who loves to lay in the sunshine outside as well as in our home by himself or with some friends. Yes, Pippin! This is a good world to be in!

We have been told and our Vet agrees that Pippin is about 2 years old. He is 11 inches tall and now weighs a healthy 8 pounds 4 ounces.

As pictured on our web site, Pippin came to us badly matted and extremely thin. A family had found him at a location in Wisconsin where many of the dogs were sadly neglected.

The facility was reported to the authorities; however, a few weeks later, the family returned and found that Pippin was still not being properly cared for. They asked to purchase him but instead the breeder gave Pippin to the family who quickly contacted us for help. Thank you, Krista!

It took 3 hours to shave down little Pippin. Under his extremely matted fur we could see on his thin and bony body (7 pounds) many fleas and sores from all the flea bites.

Even through the entire experience, Pippin remained extremely happy, patient and sociable. He knew that his hair will grow back and that now life will certainly be a lot better for him! Pippin was then neutered, heartworm / Lymes tested negative, teeth were cleaned, wormed and shots were given.

Pippin needs to be adopted by an active family with another sociable, fun loving, little dog. Pippin is very young, easy going, loves to play and also loves to be held. Pippin has no idea what to do with a leash, so a fenced yard is required. We are working on leash training. Please no young children or large dogs.

To the right family, Pippin’s $400.00 adoption fee (plus $28.00 Minnesota state sales tax) will include all of his Vet work, a kennel, new blanket, dog bed, leash, collar, a winter jacket or sweater, various toys, some yummy treats, a bag of dog food, Home Again micro chipped and registered.

Having been confined for all of his life, Pippin has quickly learned to run! You should now see him fly around our back yard with all the Poodles, including Nina. (video) Amazing how much even Nina loves to play with this fun loving, little boy!
