My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies, please email caarescue@gmail.com if serious~
My name is Jack!
& I have absolutely no freaking idea why I find myself homeless!!
I am a 7 year old Teckel aka Dachshund aka HotDiggyDog Man.
I am clean in the home and know to ask for the door when I need to do my business
I am currently living with two big doggies in foster care and get along fine with them, I even like the kitty cat in my foster home.
I especially love my people though… I attach quickly but that could be because I have been shuffled around from home to home to home so much lately. But since I joined CAA Rescue they promised that the next move will be my last, and I really trust them.
I will cry when you leave the room or home; no destruction just pure and deep sadness that you have left. For this reason no apartment homes will be considered.
I don’t know if this crying will stop once I have settled into my new life with my new family into a routine where I know I won’t be abandoned again. Volunteers at CAA Rescue say they have seen this happen with other dogs before… sometimes after a month or two of adoption dogs who cried when left alone have stopped. But then again there are some others that never change. There is no way to know this answer right now and only time will tell.
I am your typical black and tan short hair teckel with long body and short stubby legs. I would love a family who has a deep passion for this breed because I really am a great guy and need someone committed to me.
I have not been tested with children.
I am funny and cute as all heck!
Some people say teckels are stubborn and a little hard to train and while that may be the case I can tell you I am super smart and give paw to my foster mama already! I like to burrow under the blankets in foster care and settle down when it is nap time…. I do enjoy nap time!
& while I am a super guy my foster parents have been great to allow me the time and space I needed to adjust to their home and in turn I have grown to trust them.
They set me up for success at my own speed and I would need a dedicated guardian to repeat this process and do the same for a successful adoption and integration into a new home.
I have travelled really long looking for you. I hope that now that I am with CAA Rescue it will be easier for you to find me, my forever guardian, my best friend and my home. I have waited a whole life time for you & I have a whole life to live with you! If you are reading this and you are my true long lost best friend please write to CAARescue@gmail.com NOW so that we can begin to paw the new chapter of our lives together forever.
