My name is Taytum I am a 2-1/2 year old, female, 80lbs Labrador mixed with a German Shepherd
My family released me to CAA Rescue because they no longer had time to care for me properly
I am an energetic girl who enjoys playing outdoors and going for walks
I have not been around any cats … not in my previously life with my family and not in foster care with CAA Rescue. So probably best at this time not to be homed with cats
I had a pretty long drive to do to get to CAA Rescue meeting a lot of friends along the way who volunteered to help me from Freedom Drivers, I was great in the car with no problems and friendly with everyone I met. All the drivers loved me and commented on how pretty I was
My foster dad is great too, he takes me for walks everywhere but especially to the outdoor Flea Market where I get to meet a lot of different people and be exposed to a lot of different scenarios. I have done awesome everywhere we go.
I can be a bit of a bossy female though! I do live in foster care with two other dogs so I am dog friendly but if someone tries to boss me around be sure that I will push back! I am not a bully but I am no push over either. My foster dad also feeds me separately so that there can never be any argument about food in the home but he does that with all the dogs. My last family said I can be defensive about food or toys so just best to let me eat my food in peace without being bothered…. That is what my foster dad does and we have zero problems
I am a very pretty girl but do have a long coat so expect that you will have to brush me otherwise expect doggie hair in your coffee in the morning… not that there is anything wrong with that!
I am a smart girl and I am really looking for an experienced family with large breeds who has the space in their home for my size, out of the city where I have a back yard to play ball and with people who like to walk and go on mini adventures together

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
