Isabelle's Story...
ISABELLE

Meet little Isabelle. She is an 8-ish year old Yorkie. Sweet Izzy would really appreciate a very special home. Isabelle came from a puppy mill with a bad eye which was removed. She appears to be blind in the remaining eye. Izzy's poor eyesight doesn't seem to bother her too much. She explores her surroundings with a purpose. Isabelle finds her way back into the house after being outside. She is quiet, but let's you now when she finds herself in a predicament. Izzy's personality is sweet, she tolerates other dogs and loves to be cuddled. She is not too sure about men, so this is a work in progress. If you are up for a little challenge, and great reward, meet this little sweetheart who will be your forever partner. If you would like to make Isabelle part of your family, please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include her name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Isabelle, a Tijeras Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
