Maverick's Story...
Maverick is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

Maverick is a 3 / 4 year old Anatolian Shepherd and possible Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He weighs around 80 lbs, neutered, micro-chipped, crate-trained, house-trained. He gets a little bit excited initially when going for a walk but with a few reminders and corrections, he will walk easy on the leash. Maverick loves squeaky toys and fetching balls, but most of all, he loves to cuddle up with his humans.
Maverick is totally dog-friendly and gets along any size dog.

Maverick is a real big Teddy Bear who enjoys hugs and kisses, and laying on your lap while getting petted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Baltimore Anatolian Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
