Eli's Story...
Eli is not your typical Chihuahua! This boy didn't read the "Chihuahua's 101 Handbook" because he is a total snuggler, doesn't bark, loves everyone...he's a real love bug! Eli is about 4 months old, weighs about 3 pounds and will be a great dog for a family. He can be a great companion but we do prefer if there are children that they be older just because of his small size - we'd hate for him to be injured by small kids! Eli is working on housebreaking but is not quite there yet. He is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Eli to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Southington Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Southington, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
