Firefly's Story...
Augie, Firefly and Snowdude are adorable, playful and snuggly, 14-week-old, kitten siblings looking for a loving guardian.

They can be adopted as a trio, two as a pair or to a home with another cat to play with.

Augie is a silver tabby, Firefly is a torbie (Tabby/Tortoisesehll-mix) and Snowdude is a blue-eyed flame point Siamese-mix.

These kittens love to eat, play and snuggle with each other and with their people.

The kittens are healthy, neutered/spayed, micro-chipped, de-wormed and vaccinated for rabies and distemper. Their adoption fee of $125 each benefits the rescued dogs and cats of FCACC. To meet and possibly adopt any of these kittens, please contact their foster mom Kathy at kbwilson60612@yahoo.com for an adoption application. They are being fostered in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Firefly, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
